NightSeeing McArthur Park and Nighttime Design Workshop
NightSeeing™ is an examination of night as place. On April 27 UCLA students, faculty and community stakeholders will walk along a planned route through Westlake’s MacArthur Park to discover the light and shadow that define the Park’s ambiance after dark. During the walk, Leni Schwendinger, a light and nighttime expert, will provide commentary to raise awareness about nighttime cities through active learning. Participants will develop an enriched language of light and dark to describe their perceptions and aspirations for revitalizing localities after dusk.
